Captains made their initial schedules when the season kicked off at Noon on Monday, April 11th, and at the captain’s happy hour that evening at our sponsor pub, the Irish Channel, located at 500 H Street NW.

Captains followed up scheduling in person that evening and picked up their rules and score books. Rules and Score books are still available at the Irish Channel Pub for captains.

Regardless of their won-loss record or their ranking in the league, all teams registered in the league can enter the year-end championship tournament. Everyone interested in participating in the tournament should mark your calendars now…teams will have the choice to play two games on one of the last two Saturdays in August…choose to play either on Saturday, August 20th or Saturday, August 27th. The format for the August games is a group POD system so that every team plays at least two games. Teams that advance from the group play will continue in a double-elimination format on the Saturday after Labor Day. See the tournament link on the Congressional Softball League web site (www.congsoftball.com) for last year’s results and more information.
